Stephanie A. Merri

Stephanie Merri, a partner of the firm since 2007, is a native Sacramentan. A product of the San Juan Unified School District (a Rio Americano High School grad), Ms. Merri attended undergraduate school at the University of California, Los Angeles. While studying to obtain her BA in psychology, she also worked part-time as a legal secretary for a firm specializing in employment law and civil litigation.

Upon graduating from UCLA in 1996, she returned to Sacramento to attend law school at the University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law. Ms. Merri began employment at the firm as a law clerk in 1997 after her first year at McGeorge, which lead to her being offered an associate position with the firm. Upon passing the July 1999 California bar exam, she began practice as a workers’ compensation defense attorney with the firm.

Ms. Merri is a Certified Legal Specialist in Workers’ Compensation by the State of California, and her primary area of practice is Workers’ Compensation insurance defense.
Ms. Merri lives in Sacramento with her husband, Mike, and two daughters, Samantha and Natalie. When not working, Ms. Merri enjoys traveling with her husband, visiting her daughters at UW or LMU, and playing soccer.
