Elizabeth Carlsen
Associate Attorney
Elizabeth Carlsen was raised in Sacramento, CA. She attended San Diego State University majoring in Political Science. During her time at San Diego State she completed a semester abroad in London, interned for a state senator and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.
Following college, Elizabeth attended Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego. While in law school, she was a member of the Thomas Jefferson Law Review first as a Notes Writer and then as an Articles Editor. While in law school Elizabeth was awarded the Witkin Award/Jefferson Scholar for Administrative Law and International Business Transactions. Elizabeth graduated magna cum laude in December 2009, ranking in the top 15% of her class.
Upon admission to the California State Bar in June 2010, she began her career as a content legal writer for LegalZoom. Elizabeth then worked for a boutique plaintiff personal injury firm in Sacramento. She then opened her own firm providing a general practice that included family law, estate planning and bankruptcy. Prior to joining Lenahan Law Firm in 2026, Elizabeth worked for an insurance defense firm in Roseville.
Outside of the office Elizabeth enjoys traveling, attending her kids’ sporting events and attempting to grow the perfect pumpkin.
