Ira Gerald Clary, Jr is a partner in the Sacramento office of Lenahan, Lee, Slater, Pearse & Majernik, LLP. He was born and raised in Westlake Village, California. In 2001, Mr. Clary graduated from the University of California at Davis with a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Studies and Communications. While attending UC Davis, he played football and rugby for the University. During his time at Davis, he also undertook many leadership roles such as President of the University’s rugby program and was employed as a certified personal trainer for 24Hour Fitness.

After graduation, Mr. Clary worked as a legislative analyst for the Flanigan Law Firm helping represent the interests of businesses throughout California. In 2003 he began attending the University of Pacific McGeorge School of Law at night while continuing to work full time. In 2004, after receiving his real estate license, he transferred to full time status as a student and part time work status as a loan officer.

In 2006 Mr. Clary joined the firm as a full time law clerk. In December of the same year he graduated from McGeorge earning his Juris Doctor with a certificate in government affairs.

Upon passing the February 2007 bar, which only had a 36.8% pass rate, Mr. Clary joined the ranks of associates in the Firm as a Workers’ Compensation defense attorney. He worked directly under the leading expert in Worker’s Compensation and senior most partner, Gerald Lenahan. He now specializes in representing the interests of permissibly self-insured Entities, Counties, Cities, and School Districts.
