Joel E. Kautz

Mr. Kautz has worked since 2011 at Lenahan, Slater, Pearse & Majernik in the office’s workers’ compensation defense practice. Mr. Kautz’ current practice is 100% litigation, and mainly includes the defense of self-insured entities, including many Cities and Counties.

Before joining Lenahan, Lee, Slater, Pearse & Majernik Mr. Kautz attended McGeorge School of Law and graduated With Distinction in 2010. While in law school Mr. Kautz was part of the Appellate and International Advocacy Honors program and was inducted into the Traynor Honor Society. Before law school, Mr. Kautz worked many years in the insurance industry, both as a claims handler and as an underwriter.

While not practicing law, Joel enjoys boating as well as spending time with his wife Megan, his daughter, and his sons.
