Tyler A. Sonksen

Tyler A. Sonksen was born and raised in Southern California. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, graduating Cum Laude. After graduation, Tyler and his wife moved to China to teach English.
Tyler attended UC Davis School of Law. While at King Hall, Tyler worked as an Articles Editor on the Law Review. He also interned at the Criminal Division of the Office of the Attorney General, the California Law Revision Commission, and the Correctional Law Section of the Office of the Attorney General. In 2014, he led his team to victory in King Hall’s softball league.
During his final year of law school, Tyler interned at Lenahan, Slater, Pearse & Majernik. Upon passage of the California Bar Examination in July 2015, he began practicing law as a workers’ compensation defense attorney. Tyler’s primary area of practice is workers’ compensation defense. He also defends S&W and 132a claims.
Outside of work, Tyler spends his time with his wife and four children.
