Yuridia Chavez Maciel
Associate Attorney
Yuridia Chavez Maciel was born in Kennewick, Washington. She attended Portland State University and received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Law and Legal Studies. In her time at Portland State University, Yuridia taught English to children in Zamora, Spain and was a contributing writer for the Portland State University Vanguard.
Yuridia attended law school in Portland, Oregon at Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College. She graduated with her Juris Doctorate in January of 2023. As a law student, Yuridia was the Events Coordinator for the Minority Law Student Association. During law school, Yuridia participated in Trial Advocacy under the supervision of the Honorable Judith Matarazzo of the 4th Judicial District Circuit Court of Oregon. Yuridia also worked as an extern with the National Crime Victim Law Institute and created resources for NAVRA, a resource-rich webpage for victims’ rights attorneys. In addition, Yuridia received student certification by the Oregon Supreme Court and subsequently practiced law at Metropolitan Public Defenders, Inc.
In May of 2023, Yuridia moved to Sacramento, California with her husband. Upon passing the July 2023 California Bar Examination, she joined the Lenahan Firm in December of 2023 as a Worker’s Compensation defense attorney.
When not practicing law, Yuridia enjoys cooking, hiking, and spending time with her family and friends.
